The Capital City Historical Dancers and Musicians are pleased to present Ae Prideful Ball (Without Prejudice)
on the Occasion of the 238th Anniversary Celebration of Miss Jane Austen’s Birthday in December 1775 on the evening of December 21, 2013, at the Masonic Temple, (Second Floor, 308 Ann Street, downtown Frankfort, Kentucky – elevator available)
7:30: SOCIAL TYME (refreshments served)
8:00: DANCE
The Dancers will be led by Famous and Learned Dancing Masters from the Several Corners of Franklin Countie. Exquisite Music will be provided by the famous & elegant Capital City Country Dance Orchestra.
Appropriate Dress of the Regency Period, 1775 through 1825 – or equivalent Costumery,
or other Fine, Fancy, Swell and Elegant Apparel – is Welcomed and Most Heartily Encouraged.
A “teaching walk-through” will precede each dance. Registrants may learn (or refresh their memories of) these dances by attending the regular weekly dances at Thornhill gym and also be reviewed at Sunday Tea and Dance Nov. 3rd and Dec. 1st, from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. at Dancing Meadow Wilderness Farm—3362 Mink Run Road, Frankfort. Ball reservations are now being accepted. Don’t dally if you plan to come. Prepaid reservations if received by December 1: $10 per person / $15 per couple; or at the door: $15 per person / $25 per couple. Student fee of $5 per person.
